Bagging Operator at Yara International

Role and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for activities associated with final product bagging and packing, and included assisting operations in various areas of the plant if coverage is required. 

• Bagging of products into 25kg and 50kg bags on the production line
• Adding salt, trace and other elements to blender batches
• Ensure that equipment such as hoppers, chutes, conveyors and surrounding work areas are kept clean
• Re-bag and rework of products
• Responsible in conjunction with the rest of the shift for housekeeping 
• Safety must be a priority – No job must take place unless all Safety requirements are met
• Supporting maintenance teams when required

Profile

• Matric or related NQF4
• A Chemical Operations or Mechanical or related tertiary qualification will be advantageous and preferred 
• Forklift Driver license with experience of driving forklifts will be advantageous
• Experience in production plant process or manufacturing
• Concern for safety, housekeeping, order, quality, and accuracy
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work and work flexible work week and shifts
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn and grow and assist in other areas of the plant
