    Behavioural Field Coach

    The Role

    We are searching for a dynamic Behavioural Field Coach based at our Sunninghill branch to support our various projects nationally and internationally.

    Your 10 years in Health and Safety Management experience in an EPCM or related organisation coupled with your 5 years demonstrated experience in Behavioural Management programs will be the minimum requirement for successful candidates to support our Total Safety Culture program.

    Responsibilities include delivering training and coaching in support of the behaviour management program. Communication skills enabling engagement and instilling understanding at a leadership level will be a crucial requirement for success in the role. This includes providing support to the behaviour management team to deliver a consistent message throughout the organisation.

    The key skills and capabilities to be demonstrated for the position would include:

    • Sound knowledge on the applied science of the behaviour.
    • Ability to deliver effective training to leadership and behaviour management forums.
    • Ability to engage with all levels of leadership with associated skills to motivate a change in behaviour.
    • Sound knowledge of risk management processes used in the field of Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
    • Analytical skills for the evaluation of supervisor and program performance and related performance feedback.
    • Ability to identify gaps in the implementation process and provide suggested solutions for practical implementation.
    • Ability to document and provide structured feedback to the leadership team to inform decision making.
    • Practical experience with the analysis of behaviour during investigations.

    Qualifications:      

    • Tertiary qualification in the field of Health, Safety or Environmental studies will be advantageous.
    • NQF Level 5 training in Health, Safety, or Environmental is essential.
    • Training in the applied science of behaviour is essential.
    • An incident investigation training certificate is essential.
    • A risk management training certificate will be essential.
    • A legal liability certificate will be advantageous.
