    Behavioural Field Coach

    The Role

    We are searching for a dynamic Behavioural Field Coach based at our Sunninghill branch to support our various projects nationally and internationally.

    Your 10 years in Health and Safety Management experience in an EPCM or related organisation coupled with your 5 years demonstrated experience in Behavioural Management programs will be the minimum requirement for successful candidates to support our Total Safety Culture program.

    Responsibilities include delivering training and coaching in support of the behaviour management program. Communication skills enabling engagement and instilling understanding at a leadership level will be a crucial requirement for success in the role. This includes providing support to the behaviour management team to deliver a consistent message throughout the organisation.

    The key skills and capabilities to be demonstrated for the position would include:

    • Sound knowledge on the applied science of the behaviour.
    • Ability to deliver effective training to leadership and behaviour management forums.
    • Ability to engage with all levels of leadership with associated skills to motivate a change in behaviour.
    • Sound knowledge of risk management processes used in the field of Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
    • Analytical skills for the evaluation of supervisor and program performance and related performance feedback.
    • Ability to identify gaps in the implementation process and provide suggested solutions for practical implementation.
    • Ability to document and provide structured feedback to the leadership team to inform decision making.
    • Practical experience with the analysis of behaviour during investigations.

    Qualifications:      

    • Tertiary qualification in the field of Health, Safety or Environmental studies will be advantageous.
    • NQF Level 5 training in Health, Safety, or Environmental is essential.
    • Training in the applied science of behaviour is essential.
    • An incident investigation training certificate is essential.
    • A risk management training certificate will be essential.
    • A legal liability certificate will be advantageous.

    HSE Internal Auditor

    The Job

    The main purpose of this role is to conduct internal audits for the EMEA Group at the various project locations both locally and in Africa. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and management. The ability to create professional relationships that do not impair independence. To facilitate solutions for the business for continual improvement of the HSE management systems. Application of risk-based auditing techniques and applying frameworks and guidelines when auditing.

    Key performance areas (responsibilities)

    The key roles and responsibility of the position would include:

    • Conduct internal audits for Group projects at various operations
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and management
    • Ability to create professional relationships that do not impair independence
    • Facilitate solutions for the business
    • Application of risk-based auditing techniques
    • Application of frameworks and guidelines when auditing
    • Application of internal audit principles and best practices
    • Plan and execute audit programmes effectively and efficiently
    • Prepare and deliver high-quality audit reports with recommendations
    • Assisting in developing internal documentation and deliverables to satisfy client needs and expectations.

    Position requirements

    • The position available requires the employee to travel on a regular basis to meet the requirements of the position. The following criteria is essential:
    • Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally with reasonable overtime to meet the requirements of the position
    • Possess his/her own transport and have a valid Code B /EB driver’s licence
    • Medically fit for the position as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Occupational Health Centre

    • Be able to interpret policies, procedures and legislative requirements
    • Possess a good understanding of the Mines Health and Safety Legislation, Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation.
    • Have the ability to apply auditing concepts to write audit programmes
    • Adhere to professional conduct and business ethics
    • Demonstrate knowledge and application of ethical conduct in a business environment
    • Understand the application of compliance with corporate governance principles and social responsibility

    Essential Qualifications to be considered for the position

    • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent NQF qualification
    • 3- or 4-year relevant degree/diploma in HSE Management
    • Qualifications in ISO 45001 and 14001
    • NQF Level 5 training course in auditing techniques

    Experience requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HSE and 5 years in an EPCM organisation.
    • 5 years proven Internal Auditing experience on certified HSE management systems
    • Demonstrate a sound knowledge and hands-on experience in OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 45001 standards
    • Experienced in auditing Health, Safety and Environmental management systems
    • Fully proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite
