BI Specialist Junior at Life Healthcare

Summary:
A vacancy has arisen for a BI Specialist Junior in the Data & Analytics department at Life Healthcare. The Specialist will perform duties focused on specific areas within the business, particularly relating to report development, PowerBI dashboards, data cube development, project data extractions and ad hoc extractions. The candidate will require strong programming and problem solving skills.  

Outputs:

• Design and develop programs efficiently.
• Test and validate programs.
• Should have knowledge and understanding of all the relevant areas of IT: Programming, Development tools, Networks, Databases, Servers, Operating Systems, etc.
• Use initiative and sound judgment within established procedural guidelines.
• Work independently to analyze problems and implement solutions.
• Organize and prioritize the work schedule and handle multiple priorities.
• Receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and be fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. 

Requirements:

• IT degree essential
• At least 1-2 year’s experience in Microsoft SQL SSRS.
• At least 1 year’s experience in PowerBI/ Qlik.
• Strong programming, problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL SSAS will be advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, e.g. Azure, will be advantageous.
• Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services experience will be an advantage.
