Bin Press Operator - Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth at BKB Ltd

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 10
• Basic Knowledge of warehouse functioning.
• Basic knowledge wool
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required to do so.
• Be prepared to work for long hours under pressure.
• Be physically fit and in good health.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

Bin Press Operator:

• Be responsible for daily pressing of wool in the Bin Blend department
• Ensuring that pressed bales are weighed after every shift worked.
• Pack in the allocated area for internal reference numbers.

Protect Company Asset:

• Ensure that the Bin-Press machines maintained and kept clean.
• Reporting faulty presses to the division head
• Conducting inspections on presses during the start and towards the end of shift.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to the rules and regulations of health and safety.
• Report any safety hazards in the working environment to your supervisor/management.

Adhoc:

• Perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by the supervisor or management in the plant (BKB)

Quality Control:

• Compliance with applicable ISO standards
• Ensure that bales are closed properly with wool clips.

Environmental Responsibilities:

• General housekeeping
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
