Boilermaker (Mpumalanga) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• Grade 12
• N2 relevant to Trade
• Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker)
• Valid RSA driver’s license
• Experience in Boiler making with various disciplines is advantageous such as fitting and electrical
• Must have good leadership qualities
• Must have good interpersonal skills
• Be able to work under pressure, independently and in a team
• Must be plant maintenance and fabrication orientated with at least five years’ experience
• Knowledge of Maintenance Management Methods
• Experience in mining and/or heavy machinery and facilities involving complex production processes
• Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties (Determined by Occupational Medical Practitioner
• Must be available on standby and to work shifts when required

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Planning and executing work in a workshop environment
• Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE & MHS legislation
• Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• To ensure that Safety rules and procedures are adhered to, according to the rules and regulations of the workshop and mine.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment
• Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
• Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Must be able to work in a workshop and plant environment
