Bookkeeper: Bloemfontein at FS Personnel Recruitment

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Bookkeeping/Accounting qualification advantageous.
• 2–3+ years’ bookkeeping experience
• Experience working with multiple clients is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with Sage/Pastel, Xero or similar accounting software.
• Good Excel skills.
• VAT knowledge is advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping functions for various clients.
• Capture and process accounting transactions.
• Process debtors and creditors.
• Perform bank, debtors and creditors reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journals.
• Maintain general ledgers.
• Prepare trial balances and management reports.
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting.
• Prepare information for VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions.
• Process and reconcile VAT transactions.
• Identify and correct accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate client records and support documentation.
• Liaise with clients regarding outstanding information and queries.
• Assist Accountants with year-end accounts and audit preparation.
• Ensure client deadlines and statutory requirements are met.
