You will report directly to the head of finance and work closely with the accountant and billing specialist. You will be part of the ongoing strategy to integrate the finance department with other functional departments. This is for a bookkeeper that is eager to take their career to the next level, and an opportunity to grow their leadership skills.
The Role
Manage input of source documents
Maintain records of financial transactions, including posting transactions from outside tools
Manage allocations according to relevant departmental budgets
Maintain system to account for financial transactions by with established a chart of accounts
Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Update and maintain the general ledger
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance
Obtain and manage any invoices that are needed for capturing, including statements
Preparation of control reports for approval, including reimbursements and travel expenses
Prepare payment runs in our banking system for authorisation
Add and update banking recipients
Adhere to best practices in bookkeeping processes
Assist in preparation of recurring invoices
Assist in preparing financial reports
Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Maintain historical records by filing documents
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Requirements
One year of previous bookkeeping experience
Qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or related field
Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas preferred
A reasonable level of accounting knowledge
High attention to detail
Data entry skills
Produce work with a high level of accuracy
Thoroughness
Confidentiality, professionalism and organisation skills
Technological proficiency
Knowledge of XERO, or other accounting application
