Bookkeeper

• Our client, a long-established leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Bookkeeper. Based in the heart of Blackheath, Cape Town, the company values deadlines and collaboration in its pursuit of excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Financial Accounting (BAcc, BCom, or equivalent) or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (experience with SYSPRO is a plus).
• Own reliable transportation.

Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping up to balance sheet level, including cashbook processing and journal entries.
• Performing bank reconciliations.
• Conducting general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
• Managing logbooks for the company fleet and vehicles.
• Reconciling and submitting monthly VAT201 and EMP201 reports.
• Assisting with year-end closure and preparing annual audit files.
• Overseeing creditor functions, including executing the monthly credit run.
• Capturing purchase orders.
• Handling all other financial and administrative tasks related to this position.
