We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records
Prepare and analyze financial reports for management
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
Calculate and file VAT returns and other tax obligations
Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings
Collaborate with external auditors and financial advisors as needed
Maintain compliance with all financial regulations and standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience working as a Bookkeeper in the automotive industry
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of South African tax regulations and reporting requirements
