BPI & Governance Manager at Paracon

Summary:

You will be responsible for leading the execution of Procurement Business Process Improvement and Governance through:

• To qualify for this role, you must have Degree in any discipline (NQF Level 7) OR 15 years’ experience in relevant fields. A Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance will be advantageous.
• You need to have 8 years’ significant experience with procurement standards and procurement systems including implementation of new processes, tools and best practices combined with 6 years’ experience at managerial level.
• You also need experience with the overall procurement chain from category profiling up to supplier performance and benchmarking.
• It will be advantageous if you have experience in a national/global company as well as experience in the oil and gas industry or any related field, mainly in strategic procurement/category management

Other key skills you need to have include:

• Regular monitoring and auditing of procurement requirements for business sections’ activities and governance practices in accordance with policies, procedures and systems; and,
• Optimization of business alignment, operations, integration, resource and collaboration across the business chain to maximize value creation through implementation of good governance to meet the company’s objectives and stakeholders’ expectations.
• Knowledge of SAP and experience in Source To Pay (S2P) processes, including both pre and post award processes;
• Well-versed with procurement guidelines and procedures;
• Strong proficiency in report writing and presentation skills;
• Proficient in IT skills, preferably in process mapping (Visio/ARIS);
• Effective communication skills and conflict management capabilities;
• Risk management and process implementation; and,
• Project management and analytics skills to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved.
