    Brand Manager Therapeutic Dermatology

    Job Description

    • Development of particular brands or product lines by coordinating market research, design, sales projections, budgets etc., implementing and coordinating a national promotional campaign for the assigned product portfolio in conjunction with local Management, based on Global Marketing guidelines. Training of field sales team and working in field with them to ensure consistency in approach. Calling on Opinion Leaders alone and with Sales Team. This includes planning of all advertising and promotional activities & material, liaising with Galderma Key Account Managers regarding pricing and promotional campaigns, calling on Key Opinion leaders, implementing and coordinating national promotional campaigns for the entire Prescription product portfolio. Working with the Galderma Rx sales field team to ensure consistency in approach. Responsibilities also include preparation of training material on the respective disease, product and competitors, and involvement in the training program for the sales team.

    Duties & Responsibilities 

    • 100% compliance with company legal and compliance policies and in adherence with country laws and regulations.
    • Consistently have an integrated dermatology strategy mindset and utilize in day to day roles & responsibilities in current role - for self and team. Workshops/Conferences/Congresses.
    • Develop Annual Brand Plans and strategies in alignment with Global and Area marketing and all marketing material and activities to comply strictly with the SA Marketing Code. Efficient usage of and monitoring of Variable Marketing Budget in alignment with the approved ABPs.
    • Monthly meetings/discussion with Genpact re phasing of VM expenses.
    • Meeting and briefing ad agency and other promotional companies to implement and co-ordinate marketing activities in support of field sales activities. In conjunction with META Procurement, BUH and M.D. conduct Competitive Bidding every 3 years for the best options in Advertising Agencies.
    • Retaining of all records thereof. Planning and controlling promotional expense spends to within budget limits for the assigned products.
    • Working with Galderma Sales Representatives to ensure consistency of marketing approach. Conducting training of Galderma Sales Representatives as required. In - put into sales and stock forecasts.
    • Monitoring of Market Research activities for the specified Products in conjunction with the Business Intelligence.
    • Develop good relationships with Key Dermatologists, Academic Departments and the S.A. Dermatology Society Executive Committee, plus internal Galderma Global Key Managers Responsibility for Congress participation, space bookings, exhibition activities, relationship with the relevant organizing committee in conjunction with Aesthetics and Consumer Marketing personnel.
    • Ensuring all big events are loaded onto Cvent. Responsibility for managing the Product Team Meetings regarding Prescription products. Other activities that may from time to time be assigned. Data Protection: Ensuring that all activity records are compliance with POPIA.

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 6 years Marketing experience plus qualification in Marketing within the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent people skills – strong EQ qualities
    • Post Graduate qualification or a post matric qualification preferably in the Medical & marketing field.  Marketing  Management & leadership training.
    • Excellent communications skills, Professional presentation skills, Superior planning skills, networking ability
    •  Takes responsibility and is accountable for his/her and his/her team’s actions, Ability to priorities
    • Ability to analyze sales data, market environment, competitor activity, Customer and Brand Focus, impact and Influence, Courage and Integrity, Organizational Sense, Initiative-Anticipation.
