Junior Technical Integrations Lead at Evolution Group (Pty) Ltd

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technical Integrations Manager to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of API-based integrations between our platform and partner systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

• Spearhead the design and implementation of API-based integrations, focusing on REST APIs, JSON, and secure authentication methods
• Configure and test game sessions, wallet transactions, and reporting endpoints to ensure accurate data flow
• Collaborate with project managers to successfully onboard new operator partners
• Communicate complex technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Lead code reviews, peer testing, and integration troubleshooting sessions
• Diagnose and resolve integration issues, including timeouts, duplicate bets, and currency mismatches
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems for integration stability
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks
• Propose and implement improvements to APIs, workflows, and partner onboarding practices
• Stay current with iGaming industry requirements, including compliance and responsible gaming standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in backend/API development or technical integrations
• Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP methods
• Hands-on experience with Postman or similar API testing tools
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, or C#)
• Experience with authentication methods (API keys, OAuth, HMAC signing)
• Exposure to iGaming industry workflows (casino games, wallets, sessions, reporting)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, innovative environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
