We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Poultry Breeder Farm Operations Manager to join our Agri team. As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our poultry breeder farm operation and meeting set out KPI’s.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in poultry breeding farm management, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial role.
A degree in a related field would be greatly beneficial
Strong knowledge of poultry breeding techniques, genetics, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards
Duties and Responsibilities
Farm Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring all aspects of the poultry breeder farm are efficiently managed and that all the flocks reach KPI’s in a cost effective manner
Animal Welfare: Ensure the health, well-being, and proper care is exercised.
Staff Leadership: Manage and lead a team of farm staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Reports: Implement and monitor breeding programs, maintaining accurate records and genetic data.
Biosecurity: Implement and enforce strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment.
Budget Management: Manage the farm's budget, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
