Reporting to the Building Foreperson the successful candidate will provide back-up support to the Painter so as to ensure that allocated plant and facilities are kept presentable, safe and reliable standard as required by Rand Water with regard to the general preparation and painting of plant, buildings, parking areas, road markings, fences, poles etc.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Six months job related experience.
Special training in basic painting.
Safety training will be an added advantage.
Primary Duties
Provide general assistance to Painters.
Carry tools and materials to and from place of work where work is being carried out.
Preparation of floors and furniture. Prepare scaffolding. Apply undercoat and paint as required in terms of Rand Water procedures.
Fetch materials from stores.
Assisting Painter by applying undercoat/final coat of paint to walls, ceilings and walls.
General house cleaning duties including the cleaning of paint brushes, rollers etc.
