RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Building Site Foreman to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional with a strong background in both residential and commercial building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
Manage site labour, subcontractors, suppliers, and plant resources
Monitor construction progress against project programmes and identify potential delays
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and company standards
Conduct quality control inspections and manage snagging processes
Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to project management
Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
Assist with planning and scheduling of construction activities
Resolve site-related issues and ensure efficient project execution
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Building Site Foreman
Relevant qualification (National Diploma in Building or similar)
Proven experience on commercial and residential building projects
Strong knowledge of building construction methods, sequencing, and site operations
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience managing subcontractors and site labour teams
Sound understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
