RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established construction company in South Africa, is seeking an experienced Site Agent in Cape Town to lead and manage site operations from start to finish.
As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on-site. You will manage teams, subcontractors, materials, budgets, timelines, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Interpret project drawings, plans, and specifications.
Manage site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.
Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries, deliveries, and inspection logs.
Identify and resolve on-site problems or delays.
Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
Requirements:
National Diploma in Building/BTech degree in Construction Management or similar
Between 5 and 10 years’ experience in a Site Agent or similar supervisory role
Proven track record managing construction projects from start to finish
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and construction software tools
Valid driver’s license and own transport
