MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsible for the systematic and methodical investigation, analysis and documentation of all or part of a business area in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use across applications. Identify, examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Analyse business processes
Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions to enable the achievement of the digital transformation strategy.
Displays an in depth understanding of key business processes and related systems.
Provide technical recommendations on solutions to problems.
Identify and define
Define requirements and investigate tools to enable technological advancement and continuous improvement.
Communicate, translate, and simplify stakeholder requirements.
Formulate suggested changes to business processes resulting into improved efficiencies.
Formulate and process change requests and recommended
Assesses change requests from users in terms of usability/practicality.
Prioritise change requests and log them accordingly.
Partner with key role players in an expert advisory function to ensure optimal system efficiency.
Initiate and recommend system changes / enhancements to optimise system efficiencies and utilisation
Testing of new systems and changes to existing systems within the Assurance division as a result of changes to business processes
Test cases covering all operational requirements and scenarios are produced and documented in a clear, concise and understandable manner.
Adhere to testing schedules and provides feedback timeously.
Comply with standard testing methodologies.
Defects are logged in detail, are clear, concise and tracked until resolution
Maintain documentation regarding testing completed.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
Builds relationships with key role players across TFG (e.g. Infotec).
Good working relationships with Assurance team maintained.
Appropriate channels utilised to formulate solutions for business process changes or new process/system implementation.
Liaison with department managers to facilitate smooth roll-out/implementation of changes.
Requirements
Relevant Business related tertiary qualification
Business Analysis diploma or qualification desirable
2-3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst – specifically working on various projects
2-3 years’ experience in working across all levels of the business
