    Business Development Enablement Specialist

    Purpose of role:

    • The Business Development Enablement Specialist will be responsible for the ownership, administration, and optimisation of the Institutional Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of client and prospect data, enabling effective business development activities, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and insights.
    • The successful candidate will act as a key business partner to the Institutional team, driving CRM best practices, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting client engagement initiatives through effective data management, reporting, and process improvement.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    CRM Management & Data Governance:

    • Take ownership of the Institutional CRM platform, ensuring it is effectively maintained and optimised to support business objectives.
    • Maintain the integrity, quality, and accuracy of client, consultant, prospect, and intermediary data within the CRM system.
    • Implement and monitor data governance standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies and best practices.
    • Perform regular data audits and cleansing activities to maintain high-quality information and reporting.

    Business Development & Pipeline Support: 

    • Support the management of the Institutional sales pipeline by ensuring opportunities, activities, and client interactions are accurately captured and tracked.
    • Assist with opportunity management, pipeline reporting, and business development analytics.
    • Support relationship managers and business development professionals in maintaining meaningful and accurate engagement records.
    • Coordinate and monitor client contact strategies and engagement activities to support business growth initiatives.

    Reporting, Analytics & Insights: 

    • Produce regular management information (MI), dashboards, and business development reports for internal stakeholders.
    • Analyse CRM data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor key business development metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance team effectiveness.
    • Assist in preparing presentations, reporting packs, and performance updates for management and business stakeholders.

    Client & Consultant Database Management:

    • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of institutional clients, prospects, consultants, and key industry contacts.
    • Ensure contact segmentation and classification structures remain relevant and aligned to business requirements.
    • Support targeted marketing, engagement, and business development activities through effective database management.

    Event & Engagement Support:

    • Support the planning and execution of client and consultant events through effective CRM management.
    • Maintain attendee records, invitation tracking, registration data, and post-event engagement information.
    • Produce event-related reporting and insights to measure engagement and return on investment.

    Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:

    • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve business development and CRM-related processes.
    • Support the implementation of system enhancements, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies. Promote CRM best practices and provide support and guidance to users across the Institutional team.
    • Contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at improving team effectiveness and client service delivery.

    Required experience and qualifications:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in CRM administration, sales operations, business development support, or a related role.
    • Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar systems).
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience creating dashboards, management reports, and business insights. 
    • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
    • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. 
    • Experience within financial services, asset management, investments, or institutional markets would be advantageous.
