Job Description

• A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Head to oversee the overall performance, profitability, operations, and strategic direction of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, operational efficiency, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation. The ideal candidate will have strong senior management experience, with a proven track record in managing operations, budgets, people, sales, and strategic initiatives. Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or supply chain environment will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the business.
• Oversee daily operations, productivity, and performance.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and business development.
• Develop and manage budgets and monitor financial performance and costs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Identify growth opportunities and monitor market and competitor activity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and employees.
• Ensure effective workforce planning and performance management.
• Identify and manage business and operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with labour, health and safety, governance, and company requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Monitor KPIs and report business performance to the Managing Director and Board.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or a related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 8–10 years' management experience.
• At least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing budgets, operations, people, and commercial performance.
• Manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or supply chain experience advantageous.
• Strong financial, commercial, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
