Business Operations Director - MEA Region

    Role Summary & Purpose

    • We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Finance Business Partner for Process Optimisation. This is not a traditional finance role. You are an agent of change, responsible for dissecting our business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and using financial data to build compelling cases for transformation.
    • You will partner with leaders across Operations, Sales, and Technology to map complex workflows, quantify the financial impact of bottlenecks and waste, and drive initiatives that enhance profitability and scalability. Your success will be measured by your ability to translate deep analytical insights into tangible improvements in our operational performance and financial results.
    • You are the crucial link between what the numbers say and what the business does, ensuring our operational engine is as efficient and high performing as our financial ambitions demand.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyse & Diagnose: Conduct deep-dive financial analysis of business units and functional departments to identify areas of high cost, low margin, or significant financial leakage.
    • Process Mapping & Discovery: Collaborate with operational stakeholders to map end-to-end business processes (e.g., quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, project delivery), identifying pain points, redundancies, and opportunities for automation.
    • Quantify Opportunities: Build robust financial models to quantify the cost of inefficiency and the potential ROI of proposed process changes, technology investments, or automation initiatives.
    • Business Case Development: Develop and present compelling, data-driven business cases to senior leadership to secure investment and buy-in for optimisation projects.
    • Partner & Influence: Act as a trusted financial advisor to non-finance leaders, coaching them on financial drivers and influencing them to adopt more efficient ways of working.
    • Drive Change: Project manage or act as the finance lead on cross-functional process improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and that financial benefits are tracked and realised.
    • Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor the financial health of business processes post-implementation, ensuring sustainable improvements.
    • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation, constantly seeking out new opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability.

The Ideal Candidate: Skills & Experience

    Essential Experience & Skills:

    • Significant experience in a commercially focused finance role (e.g., Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, FP&A Analyst).
    • Demonstrable track record of identifying and delivering process improvements with measurable financial impact.
    • Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills; you must be an expert in Excel and comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence senior, non-finance stakeholders.
    • A curious and analytical mindset; you are naturally driven to ask "why" and understand how processes work from the ground up.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how operational processes impact strategic and financial goals.
    • Resilient, resourceful, and able to navigate ambiguity in a complex, matrixed organisation.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience within an IT services, technology, or project-based professional services organisation.
    • Formal training or certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Agile).
    • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create insightful reports and dashboards.
    • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and understanding their role in business processes.

    Qualifications & Certifications:

    • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
    • Recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is highly desirable and demonstrates financial credibility.

    What We Offer

    • A high-impact role where you can see the direct results of your work on the company's bottom line.
    • The opportunity to work across the entire business, gaining unparalleled insight into our operations.
    • A competitive salary, bonus scheme, and comprehensive benefits package.
    • A commitment to your professional development with access to training and certifications.
    • A flexible, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that values innovation and strategic thinking.
