Business Unit Head at Next Biosciences

Placelta, a company within the Next Biosciences group of companies requires an experienced Business Unit Head to ensure that the business is  meeting goals that contribute to the overall success of a company.  The position has a broad range responsibilities: from analyzing market trends and training and mentoring staff, to creating and implementing strategies to reach targets

Skills required for the position:

• Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve high standards and accomplish set outcomes.
• Six to eight years work-related experience in financial or business management fields.
• Degree in Science (or some other relevant qualification).

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• Establish the strategy (including marketing strategy) & objectives for Placelta to reach the sales targets as well as implementation & execution of the strategy.
• Manage the organisational structure, operations, day-to-day operations of Placelta, reporting lines and accountability for the laboratory, procurement, client services and marketing.
• Oversee stock management to ensure there is sufficient product to meet market demands.
• Manage the allocation of resources in terms of people and capital.
• Oversee the financial performance of Placelta.
• Stay abreast of and manage costs and implement cost saving where possible.
• Stay abreast of developments within the Biological Product Manufacturing Market (including competitor activities) and drive growth/innovation.
• Ensure effective Public Relations and credibility of Placelta in the market.
• Manage all stakeholder relationships with HCPs for human tissue procurement, as well as identifying new strategic partner relationships.
• Oversee ISO and other Accreditations in conjunction with Laboratory Manager and Head of Quality.
• Address any issues that are raised internally and externally and escalate any major issues to EXCO.
• Analyse Friday feedback from each team member and send a weekly report to EXCO.
• Compile the Placelta Quarterly Board report.
• Run regular Placelta Team Meetings.
• Uphold the vision of Next Biosciences and build the right culture within the Placelta division.
