Buyer – Fixed Term Contract at Glencore

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Procurement Officer and should be competent to perform the following duties:

• Resolve queries within the P2P process.
• Create, issue, modify and process purchase orders.
• Communicate with end users on status of purchase orders.
• Assist to determine and select suitable suppliers (based on criteria such as description, price, quality, and lead times) for procuring goods and services.
• Receive and evaluate quotations.
• Maintain and update pricing of goods and services.
• Computer literate – excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Good knowledge of the SAP MM module.
• Experience on the Coupa system will be an added advantage
• Accurate with figures and numbers, diligent, self-motivated as well as a team worker
• Proven writing/administrative skills
• Medically fit
• Be able to communicate clearly in English.
• Willing to work overtime as and when required
