Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Retail, Administration, Fashion Design /Clothing Production/ Product Development/Merchandising, or a related field would be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Previous experience (preferably 5 years) in an Administrative or Buyer’s Assistant role within a retail / buying environment.
• Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages / G-Suite (Docs/Sheets/Slides) is an essential requirement.
• A Grade 12 Certificate / Matric is an essential requirement.
• Working knowledge and experience with Airtable / Ukusa is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• An understanding of the Retail Cycle & Buying process.
• Managing a sample critical path. 
• Have excellent time management, planning and organizing skills with a strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
• Have sound numerical skills, together with the ability to complete numerical reports/budgets accurately.
• Have a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
• Have a strong customer service orientation with excellent relationship-building skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the organisation.
• The ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
• The ability to work independently but at the same time be a team player.
