Call for Experts - Health Financing Project (SA) (South Africa)
Areas of technical expertise that we are looking for include:
Health financing and public financial management, including delivery of sustainable, innovative and context specific technical assistance solutions.
Human resources for health (HRH) and capacity building to strengthen the health workforce and ensure optimal deployment.
Overall management and delivery of complex project strategy and implementation, particularly on USAID-funded grants
Monitoring, evaluation, research and learning expertise, particularly on USAID-funded grants.
Operational grant management skills including recruitment, compliance, financial management and having oversight of internal controls and reporting, particularly on USAID-funded grants.
Requirements
Advanced degree in one of the following or related fields: Public Health, Public Finance, Human Resources, Public Administration, Finance and Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.
Minimum 8+ years’ professional experience in the relevant technical field related to the role.
Good understanding of South Africa’s healthcare delivery system.
Ability to develop and manage relationships with stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience working on USAID or similar donor-funded projects in South Africa or the ESA region.
