Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) Teacher at CambriLearn

Education and Experience Required:  

•  Minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as a PGCE, BEd or other accepted teaching qualification (SACE number).
•  Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (IGCSE)
•  Comfortable with using technology in a teaching environment 
•  Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and expression skills 
•  High level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme

Location: Remote (Head office is based in JHB, in Melrose Arch) 

Teaching responsibilities:

- Teaching Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) content and being available for student questions. 

- Planning, organising and providing instruction in English that are aligned with Cambridge curriculum and school standards to meet the varied learning styles, abilities and needs of students

- Delivering lesson plans that utilise a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies 

- Ensuring students are progressing at the correct level and keeping record of any concerns. 

- Marking of Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) assignments tests and exams. 

- Ensuring milestones for marking are adhered to

- Marking accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained 

- Setting of assignments, tests, and exams where necessary. 

- Ensuring all administration is completed as specified
