Job Description

• We are seeking a Carpenter with strong cabinetry and finish carpentry skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and installing custom cabinets, vanities, countertops, and moldings. You should be able to read technical drawings, work with precision, and deliver high-quality craftsmanship on every project.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• 4+ years’ experience in finish carpentry, specifically cabinetry and vanities
• 1+ year experience in rough carpentry (preferred)
• Familiar with power tools: skill saw, mitre saw, jigsaw
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Physically capable of lifting up to 36 kg and climbing ladders
• Strong knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
• Customer-focused with a service-orientated mindset
• Able to consistently add value to project outcomes
• Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, read, and interpret drawings for cabinetry, framing, and construction projects.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials
• Install structures such as framing, doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
• Build cabinets and other projects based on demand
• Frame room additions as needed for client
• Select and evaluate materials for defects
• Install cabinets, counters, and molding
• Follow all code requirements
• Supervise and mentor assistants when needed
