Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain records of business transactions and product inventories, reporting data to company
• Facilitate the effective management of orders on national level
• Maintain optimum inventory levels against targets
• Analyse demand vs stock
• Build lasting relationships with suppliers
• Follow-up on orders from suppliers
• Utilise relevant reports to ensure accurate purchasing of stock
• Monitoring dead/slow-moving stock and taking timeous actions
• Source of new products/trends in accordance with management
• Maintain and update filing
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned
• Ensure that risks are monitored, tracked and managed effectively

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a procurement / buying environment within the Agricultural sector
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of agricultural products
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Detail orientated
• Valid driver’s license
