SUMMARY
The Change Analyst – Technology plays a key role in assisting the Change Manager in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
The primary responsibility of the Change Analyst will be in delivering change activities including assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation to ensure successful implementation of a project or deliverable.
To advise the project team how a change to a solution / or implementation thereof will affect internal and external stakeholders. To support the users during a change initiative by training and hand holding the users so as to upskill them to be able to effectively and efficiently to execute their jobs.
FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply a structured methodology using tactical plans required to implement change management activities as defined in a detailed project plan
Assist in design and definition of roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders
Assist with assessing the impact of the change
Consult and coach project teams
Support adoption of changes required by a project or initiative
Measure the success of the change communications
Coach Managers and Supervisors
Help coordinate efforts of training deliverables required on projects or initiatives
Assist with design, development and implementation of training deliverables
Complete change management assessments
Evaluate and ensure user readiness
Identify and manage resistance through continuous engagement with impacted stakeholders
While the change analyst may not have supervisory responsibility, this function will have to work through many others in the organization to succeed
The change analyst may also provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions
The change analyst will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans
Partners across Technology functions (e.g., Infrastructure, PMO, Contract Management, Vendor Management, Technology · Procurement, etc.) and Divisions/Business Units to ensure Technology Change Enablement requirements are met
Partners with Vendors and Service Providers to ensure that Massmart Technology Change Enablement requirements are understood and the relevant processes and controls are developed to provide optimal services
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position.
Grade 12
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a
field an advantage
2-3 years of equivalent experience -preferably in Technology System and Process Change Management
Experience with large-scale change efforts
Change management certification or designation desired
Knowledge of principles, training methods, and techniques used in
education
Experience with staff development and/or human resources
Project Management experience is an advantage
A self-starter requiring minimal management input
