Key Performance Output

The successful candidate reporting to the Senior Supervisor Civil Maintenance, will be responsible for:

• Planning, scheduling, supervising / coordinating team activities within an operation to achieve efficiency and quality goals. 
• Ensure contractors work in a safe manner.
• Monitoring service providers’ daily activities according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and report deviances.
• Adhering to relevant statutory and legislative regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Operational Standards, policies and practices.
• Mitigating risk to limit injuries.
• Conducting regular inspections of the environment and implement remedial action.
• Respond to occurrences, incidents and accidents in a timely manner.
• Coordinating maintenance schedules.
• Completing inspection forms.
• Give input to and submit on progress of contractor activities.
• Inspect and monitor infrastructure according to maintenance schedules.
• Building, supporting, and maintaining healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals.

Technical Skills and Experience

The challenges posed by this position require the successful candidate to have the following:

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is essential.
• 3 - 5 years maintenance operational experience is essential.
• 1 year maintenance supervisory experience is essential.   
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Code B Driver’s license would be advantageous.
