Chartered Accountant at DNAfit

EMEA Local Financial Reporting

• Report to the Finance Director in the UK Preparing financial reports and statements for the Group’s EMEA operations (i.e. UK and South Africa 
• Coordinate with finance team on solving internal accounting issues and set up accounting and monthly financial closing SOP
• Ensure financial internal control is properly maintained and complied with
• Coordinate with respective departments to prepare annual and semi-annual budgeting and cashflow forecast
• Manage South Africa local audit and tax matters, and assist with local filings

Group Financial Reporting

• Report to Group Finance team in Hong Kong
• Maintain a good record of intercompany transaction’s reconciliation, including elimination of unrealised profit
• Assist with the Group’s financial reporting such as consolidation and quarterly adjustments
• Prepare EMEA’s consolidation reporting pack that is in alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards; covering consolidation notes and other disclosure and compliance requirements
• Support the Group’s annual external audit
• Support the Group’s special projects, such as process improvements, ERP system upgrade, new system implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Chartered Accountant (SAICA, ICAEW or international equivalent) Experience in financial and managerial reporting, in which 4  years at managerial level, experience in the retail industry & group reporting exposure is preferred
• Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, consolidation accounting, tax regulations, financial control management and planning
• Hands-on experience with Xero, SAP or NetSuite a plus
• Independent with strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
• You have the ability to multitask and meet tight reporting deadlines
• You are a team player with good interpersonal skills while demonstrating managerial leadership and mentorship over junior staff
