Chartered Accountant at Malander

Malander is seeking qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) professionals for various contractual roles across a range of dynamic clients and industries. These opportunities are ideal for individuals with strong financial acumen and solid post-articles experience who are available immediately to take on short- to medium-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or relevant accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
• Track financial performance and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency
• Manage internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit files and resolution of queries
• Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Monitor and forecast cash flow; manage working capital and banking relationships
• Assist with tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, and corporate tax matters
• Review and strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process optimisation
• Lead or support finance-related projects such as ERP implementations or business restructuring
• Collaborate with leadership, department heads, and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making

Education and Experience:

• Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) designation (essential)
• Immediate availability (non-negotiable)
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in corporate, commercial, or audit environments
• 3–5 years of post-audit experience
