    Chemist

    Job Purpose

    • Co-designs lab experiments to help achieve customer requirements.
    • Analyze, interpret and report results using project needs and objectives as well as R&D methods and techniques and production guidelines
    • Conducts benchmarking of developed products vs competitor products to gauge level of performance.
    • Develop new products or improve existing products as per project brief
    • Support evaluation of raw material contingencies
    • Conducts laboratory experiments, analyses laboratory results and share them with his/her manager.
    • Documents (Lab) results, visits etc through appropriate reporting systems.
    • Shares knowledge gained during product development stage with MU factory support & ISC teams.
    • Co-designs products that meet project brief in terms technical requirements and cost.
    • Conducts benchmarking of developed products vs competitor products to gauge level of performance.
    • Support the transition of new formulas from R&D-LTS to production (MU support team)

    Experience and Qualification

    • University degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
    • Relevant paint laboratory experience
    • Good English language skills (writing, reading and ideally good speaking level)
    • Be proactive, rigorous, organized and curious
    • Be result oriented, focus on problem solving
    • Knowledge on computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Available to travel to Product Development Centre (PDC) and supporting labs and territories when required.
    • Knowledge of paint formulating, manufacturing, and industrialization processes is nice to have, but not a must
