Minimum Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Desired: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent mandatory. Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Leadership is advantageous.
• Minimum: 10+ years’ senior-level financial management experience, preferably in utilities, infrastructure, or public sector.
• Proven track record to lead with fairness, transparency, and accountability in finance.

Primary Duties

• Develop and implement financial strategies that ensure accountability, transparency, fairness, and efficiency.
• Direct financial insights to support executive decisions and sustainable growth.
• Develop and manage transparent budgeting processes.
• Direct efficient allocation of resources and maintain accountability for financial performance.
• Develop and administer accurate, transparent financial reporting frameworks.
• Implement governance, compliance, and internal control standards across all finance functions.
• Direct treasury management frameworks to safeguard organisational assets.
• Develop and implement risk management processes that maintain accountability and efficiency.
• Direct procurement processes that are transparent, fair, and compliant.
• Manage contract and supplier frameworks to maintain efficiency and accountability.
• Manage internal and external audit processes to maintain audit readiness.
• Direct implementation of corrective actions to strengthen financial governance.
• Maintain stakeholder confidence through transparent and accountable financial practices.
• Coordinate executive-level engagements on governance, audit, and compliance matters.
