Key Performance Areas

• Define, maintain the currency and business relevance of the IT strategy through participation and influence in business strategy planning processes.
• Ensure that the business is always aware of the best of breed/cutting-edge technology applicable to the company.
• Responsibility for overall ICT strategy and execution and integration in the business.
• Leading and influencing all stakeholders in the business in respect of ICT strategy.
• Driving and maintaining consistent and unrelenting ICT optimisation in the business.
• Leading and managing and developing the human capital resource in the ICT environment.

 Candidate requirements

• A relevant degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is non-negotiable.
• An additional post graduate qualification, e.g. an MBA will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of leadership experience in the ICT environment.
• A demonstrable and proven record of achievement in a CIO/CTO or similar type role.
• Experience in the financial services industry will be advantageous.

Skills and attributes

• Must have well-developed and proven business conceptualisation skills at C suite level.
• Must have well-developed and demonstrable strategic planning and management skills in the ICT environment, preferably at C suite level.
• Must have the gravitas as a leader and an ICT professional to lead the business at all levels in respect of ICT strategy.
• Must have well-developed and demonstrable and proven stakeholder management skills.
• Must have effective and proven interpersonal skills.
