Civil / Roads Quantity Surveyor – Construction Industry
Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor with a strong portfolio of major infrastructure projects, is seeking an exceptional Quantity Surveyor for Johannesburg, with a proven track record in roads projects.
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can deliver with precision, and is confident in managing complex cost control systems.
Requirements
Degree or National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Expert-level proficiency in CCS cost control software.
Outstanding mathematical ability with high attention to detail.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working specifically on roads projects (SANRAL).
Strong understanding of construction contracts, claims, and cost management principles.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all costs relating to roads and highways projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
Deliver accurate, detailed cost planning and forecasting using CCS.
Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and variations, ensuring financial targets are met.
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, claims, and procurement schedules.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure cost efficiency and contractual compliance.
