COENG Consulting and Construction Engineers (Pty) Ltd are currently in search of a Civil Structural Draughtsman for a permanent position based in Secunda.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop long and cross sections from topographic surveys performed by engineering surveyors.
• Draw typical vertical alignments profiles of roads and stormwater drainage on above long-sections, inclusive of sewer and water reticulations.
• Develop standard detail drawings and specifications of civil engineering infrastructure.
• Finalise AFC drawings typical of civil engineering infrastructure as above.
• Extract BoQ from above AFC’s in accordance with SANS 10200.
• Design of Stormwater Reticulation using the Rational Method will be an added advantage.
• Perform basic site surveys pertaining to level and tache surveys.
• Perform Clerk of Works activities (QA/QC) on construction projects inclusive of administration responsibilities.
• Compiling of preliminary design reports will be an added advantage.
• Computer Skills : Civil Designer, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office inclusive of Microsoft Projects.
• GIS experience will be an advantage.
• Generate site plot plans for inspections.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as per ISO 9001 – 2000 Doc. Ref. SP/DO/01
• Concrete (Re-Bar) and structural detailing

Qualifications and Experience

• Design Drafting Qualification
• Minimum 5 years experience in design drafting in the discipline that is specialised in
