RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join its Cape Town team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to gain exposure to a diverse range of industrial, infrastructure, and EPC/EPCM projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake civil and structural designs
Participate in feasibility studies, basic engineering, and detailed design phases
Perform third-party design reviews and quality assurance assessments
Compile scopes of work, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical documentation
Provide tender support, scope clarification, and contractor engagement during procurement processes
Design civil infrastructure including: Bridges, Retaining walls, Culverts, etc.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Assist with project planning, project management, and construction support activities
Attend design reviews, technical meetings, and site inspections as required
Requirements:
BSc or BEng Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 3 years' relevant civil and structural engineering experience
Experience within a consulting engineering environment preferred
Proficiency in relevant civil and structural design software
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
