    CJ National Sales Manager - National

    Objective/Purpose

    • To commercialize the CJ Distribution portfolio through partnership and engagement with TLC, Independent pharmacies, hospitals and Dr’s Practices thereby increasing Company market share across all portfolios. To lead growth strategies, develop and maintain the market share within the commercial sales and marketing Division

    Qualification and Experience

    • Post Graduate Commercial Degree / Marketing Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA would be a definite advantage. 
    • 3-5 Years Sales experience
    • 5 years’ experience in managing a Regional Sales team in the pharmaceutical industry

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Sales: 

    • Plan and forecast the setting and achievement of sales budgets and forecasts.  
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.  
    • Drive initiatives to increase market share.  
    • Lead and strategically align with Regional Sales Managers and Sales team to deliver budget achievement.  
    • Establish, drive, analyze and evolve all sales force metrics to optimize performance and business outcomes.  
    • Oversee promotional budgets and activities as well as monitoring spend initiatives.  
    • Analyze market, customer analytics to identify opportunity and areas of performance decline/increase.  
    • Drive proper customer targeting and selection to ensure sales force effectiveness.  
    • Ensure close monitoring of market trends and providing guidance for appropriate interventions. 

    Stakeholder Liaison: 

    • Drive & build strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders and customers to optimize commercial opportunities. Develop and maintain internal customer relationships with cross functional teams that drive and support portfolio/brand.  
    • Work with marketing/leadership to deliver go to market strategies. 
    • Work closely with Head of Sales. 
    • Identifying and exploiting new business opportunities within the commercial environment and actively collaborating with other business units to ensure optimal synergies across business units.  
    • Coaching, motivating of Sales team to optimize sales force productivity, as well as provide adequate coaching, follow-up, and development of sales management in all phases of their work including career development.  
    • National Travel required to co-work with managers/representatives and customers strategies.  
    • Build and maintain business relationships in-practice with employees and/or external vendors who have an impact upon the company’s business.  
    • Ensure optimal communication with third party suppliers and/or vendors on all replenishment related issues.  
    • Troubleshoot problems, prepare reports and make recommendations to management to resolve customer complaints.  

     Team Management: 

    • Ensure commercial and product knowledge upskilling is driven routinely.  
    • Build and develop a high performing team through active coaching and mentoring with clearly defined KPI’S and development plans.  
    • Initiate progress tracking tool by setting annual objectives for the team. 
    • Facilitate the creation of accountable, full-service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders through effective inspirational leadership. 
    • Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management. 

    General:  

    • Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies & Procedures, and standard Operating Procedures.  
    • Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.  
    • Review operations ensuring their compliance with policies and regulations
