Job Description
- Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional ready to take the next step in your career? A dynamic and fast-paced organization in the trading industry is looking for a Clearing Controller to join their team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring smooth customs clearance processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the clearing process for imports and exports
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs documentation
- Liaise with customs officials, shipping lines, and transport providers
- Stay up to date with relevant customs regulations and industry developments
- Monitor and report on clearing delays and proactively resolve issues
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in clearing and forwarding
- Diploma/degree in Logistics or Supply Chain
- Clearing and Forwarding knowledge
- Sea freight experience
- Strong understanding of SARS EDI system and customs procedures
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
