Job Description

• A fast-growing Bermuda based accounting firm is looking for a remote Client Accountant to join their team in Cape Town. 
• This is not a standard accounting role—your work will extend beyond bookkeeping to managing client relationships, improving processes, and implementing innovative reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the main point of contact for clients and explain financial information clearly.
• Prepare and review bookkeeping, management accounts, and financial reports.
• Find ways to improve and automate accounting processes.
• Supervise and support offshore contractors to ensure quality work.
• Solve problems proactively and suggest workflow improvements.
• Help grow the firm, with potential for managerial or partnership roles.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Professional Accountant or AGA(SA) 
• ±4 - 7 years of experience in Accounting
• Proficient in the modern finance tech stack (Xero, Syft, Fathom, Dext, Excel, etc)
• Strong communication skills, highly organised, and takes ownership of tasks
