Senior/National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent qualification with N+/A+ certification. Proven experience in installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems (Cate, Cat, fiber optics).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cabling layouts. 2 years’ working experience in telecommunications or ICT networking environment and experience with cable testing equipment and tools (e.g., testers, crimpers, fusion splicers).
Knowledge of PABX system will be added to the advantage. Office Management, Customer Service, experience in Client Liaison and Telephone Etiquette.
Duties :
The successful candidate will be expected to: Perform Standby duties and Overtime as rostered or when requested; Test and repair faulty telephone lines, instruments, and data points; Install and test new extensions, telephone points and data points. Manage the telephone asset register; Revamping of telephone and network cabinets;
Do limited programming on the PABX system; Perform related administrative tasks at the Switchboard Section; Adhere to Batho Pele Principles.
