    Client Manager

    What the day will look like
    Revenue Growth Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for generating new business through lead generation initiatives.
    • Engaging in upselling and cross-selling strategies with current clients.
    • Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, retention, revenue growth, and profitability.

    Coordinating, improving, and nurturing daily client relationships.

    • Developing comprehensive client profiles that assess risks and identify needs within the client portfolio.
    • Crafting insurance programs tailored to the specific needs of the clients.
    • Creating client documentation, including policy papers and claims data, and actively participating in renewal meetings and fee negotiations.

    Managing the renewal process, which entails:

    • Collaborating with Client Service Advisors to prepare pre-renewal documentation.
    • Conducting meetings with clients – in person is the preferred method.
    • Negotiating terms with insurance providers.
    • Interacting with various departments within Aon to get the best solutions for clients.
    • Issuing renewal notifications.
    • Sending cancellation letters where necessary.
    • Collaborating with Client Service Advisors to uphold client service standards.
    • Providing support to the Strategic Account Manager or Business Manager for larger, more intricate accounts.
    • Maintaining compliance in all client interactions (Comply with FAIS; Draft comprehensive minutes of meetings; etc.).
    • Take ownership of credit control processes.
    • Assisting with claims inquiries from claims department as well as clients, as required.
    • Be a team player and willing to assist the team as and when required.

    Qualifications.

    • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferable
    • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
    • Must be registered as an associate with the IISA

    Knowledge.

    • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings
    • An extensive knowledge of the South short-term insurance markets
    • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals
    • Digital literacy with sophisticated know-how in MS Word and Excel.

    Skills and Attributes.

    • Skill and confidence to articulate Aon’s proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients.
    • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
    • Well- Developed communication skills.
    • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.

    Experience.

    • Have a demonstrated ability in a similar or related role.
