Climate Finance Associate or Director at Zutari

• We’re growing our climate change team and we’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to take up the role of a climate change associate or director, with climate finance experience.

Role responsibilities:

• Selling climate change services and business development
• Managing large climate change projects and clients
• Assessing climate finance requirements and readiness and developing climate finance strategies and plans.
• Working with project developers, development finance agencies, think tanks, financial institutions and research institutions to develop financing tools and mobilize resources for climate action.
• Developing of climate change mitigation and/or adaptation strategies, policies and plans
• Compiling specialist climate change reports as part of environmental impact assessments
• Supporting public and private sector implementation of the Paris Agreement
• Supporting companies with implementation of the TCFD recommendations

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, development finance, environmental management or equivalent (Master’s degree or PhD will be an added advantage)
• At least 8 years’ experience in climate change practice or consulting
• At least 4 years’ experience with development finance or climate finance
• Experience in selling climate change services, business development and client management.
• Experience with national and international lender and financing mechanisms (e.g., GCF, GEF, etc.)
• Good understanding of national and international green climate finance landscape, policies and protocols, including Paris Agreement articles on climate finance
• Must be technically competent and comfortable with MS: Excel and mathematical equations.
