Appropriate three-year university degree in Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice. Candidate must be registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Associate and have a current registration for 2026.
Work exposure or further training & education will be an advantage. Candidates will be required to work in Burns Unit within a hospital setting.
Knowledge/Skill/Competence requirements: Candidate must have good communication skills both verbal and written and be able to function as part of a team.
Duties :
Clinical associates are expected to perform patient-centred consultations across all ages. Apply clinical reasoning to the assessment and management of patients. Be able to provide emergency care to patients. Perform investigative and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice. Prescribe appropriate medication within scope of practice.
Facilitate communication and provide basic counselling. Integrate understanding of family, community and health system in practice. Good professional conduct, good professional ethics, teamwork ability, good medical record keeping. Management of personnel performance and review thereof.
