Clinical Associate (Western Cape) at Right to Care

Description

• Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines
• Ensure comprehensive package of VMMC services available
• Maintain and respond to QA assessments
• Chair/attend staff meetings
• Ensure all Circumcised Clients are followed up as per SA/WHO guidelines
• Management of VMMC related adverse events effectively
• Keep abreast with present developments in the field
• To participate in research projects relevant to the specific field.
• Liaise with the outreach officer and field recruiters to ensure effective recruitment   of clients
• Support establishment of new sites
• In-service training and mentorship of the MOVE team at the sites
• Clinical guidance to management.
• Keep abreast with present developments in the field
• Support and participate in demand creation activities
• Familiarise self with rules and regulations of the Health Act and other relevant legislation.
• Familiarise self with Right to Care standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Clinical Associate Degree (Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice)
• VMMC Training course
• 1 year experience in VMMC
• 1 Year experience in public health setting
