    Clinical Manager (Physiotherapist)

    Job Description

    • At Faircape Health Institute, we believe exceptional rehabilitation begins with exceptional people.
    • Our Faircape Health Institute Allied Practice, Somerset Physiotherapy, is a specialist physiotherapy practice dedicated to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services within our Sub-Acute Care & Rehabilitation Centre in Somerset West. 
    • As an integral part of our multidisciplinary healthcare environment, our team works collaboratively with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists and other healthcare professionals to restore function, maximise independence and achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients. 
    • We are looking for an experienced Clinical Manager (Physiotherapy) to lead our Allied Practice physiotherapy team. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with operational management, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting the professional development of the physiotherapy team, and driving the continued growth and success of the practice. 

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Lead, mentor and support the physiotherapy team to deliver exceptional patient-centred care.
    • Oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the physiotherapy department.
    • Ensure compliance with HPCSA standards, professional guidelines and clinical governance requirements.
    • Manage staff performance, development, coaching and ongoing competency.
    • Monitor clinical quality, patient outcomes and service delivery standards.
    • Oversee patient scheduling, resource allocation and departmental workflow.
    • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and medical aid billing requirements.
    • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised rehabilitation programmes.
    • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and best practice within the department.
    • Manage departmental equipment, budgets and stock control where applicable.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Physiotherapy.
    • Current HPCSA registration.
    • Proven clinical physiotherapy experience, preferably within sub-acute rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation or geriatric care.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a clinical or physiotherapy practice, including staff supervision and performance management.
    • Strong understanding of the South African healthcare environment, medical aid billing and healthcare compliance.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to balance clinical and operational responsibilities.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to build effective relationships within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
    • Passion for delivering outstanding rehabilitation outcomes and developing clinical teams.
