Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To maintain medical equipment, as well as provide technical support to users of medical equipment within the Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Provide Technical Support for HospitalPerform requested technical jobs within the Hospital
• Identify and control risk in the technical environment within the Hospital
• Coordinate / manage work done by on-site contractors within the Hospital
• Perform office administration duties within Technical Department
• Build and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within the Technical Department

Required Education

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year experiential training within Mediclinic OR
• 1 year Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industry

Desired Experience

• 3 years Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industry

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering: light current or clinical engineering

DESIRED EDUCATION: Diploma in Clinical Engineering

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Financial principles (of cost benefit and investment analysis)
• Infection control
• Mediclinic Policies and Procedures (e.g. utilisation of test equipment)
• Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Planned Maintenance procedures (Medical equipment and X ray)
• SAP and Utilisation of SAP reports
