CNC Machine Field Service Technician (CNC Machines Installations/Maintenance)– Jet Park at MECS (Pty) Ltd

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair CNC machine tools at customer sites throughout South Africa. The successful candidate will provide exceptional technical support while ensuring maximum machine uptime and customer satisfaction.
• This role requires a technically minded individual with strong electrical, mechanical and CNC troubleshooting skills, who is comfortable travelling extensively and working independently.
• Installation & Commissioning of CNC cutting machines
• Install and commission CNC laser cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, and other types of industrial automation equipment.
• Perform machine alignment, calibration and acceptance testing.
• Configure machine parameters and ensure machines meet manufacturer specifications.
• Train customers on machine operation and preventative maintenance.

Technical Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Respond rapidly to customer breakdowns.
• Produce detailed service reports after every visit.
• Recommend improvements to increase machine reliability and performance.

Minimum Requirements
Education

• N2 in Electrical or Millwright preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience servicing CNC machine tools.
• Experience with fibre laser cutting machines, plasma cutting systems, will be highly advantageous.
• Experience with industrial electrical fault finding.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel throughout South Africa.
• Occasional travel to neighbouring African countries may be required.
• Valid South African driver's licence is essential.
• Valid passport will be advantageous.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Fibre laser cutting systems (Raycus, IPG, Max Photonics)
• FSCUT / CypCut / Hypcut control systems
• Delta or Yaskawa servo systems
• Industrial automation
• CNC plasma cutting equipment
• Oxy-fuel cutting systems
