CNC Toolmaker at Nissan Motor Corporation

PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB

• To program and Operate the CNC Milling machine – Master cam / Edge cam software for current model as well other projects on the pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• N3 Tool Maker certification and Red Seal certification  
• 3 - 5 years’ Components knowledge in the manufacturing and / automotive industry
• 3 – 5 years Knowledge of the CNC Milling Machine programming with an understanding of converting CAD to CAM
• Manage CNC Costs - Budget control and drive improvements

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Toolmaker will be responsible for the Programming of the CNC machine for the current model as well as upcoming projects
• Responsible for setting up jobs on the CNC Machine
• Toolmaker will also be responsible for minor fault findings on the CNC machine and PM of the machine
• Managing CNC area (Manage CNC Costs - Budget control and drive improvements)
• Monitoring CNC stock levels
• Project Planning in Design, CNC & Machine Shop area
• Manage CNC Costs - Budget control and drive improvements
• Ability to do minor design solid works and Space Vision
• Ability to repair on line break down within allowed time to reduce production stoppages
